Dialog has enjoyed seven successive years of profitable and rapid growth. Top-line growth in 2013 rose to 17% to $903 million with increased underlying profitability and an even stronger balance sheet, against a backdrop of broadly flat global semiconductor industry revenues.

Dialog continues to have smartphone and tablet design win success for power management and audio through engagements with the world's leading, trend-setting global consumer electronics brands. We take a "total system" approach to minimising energy usage with our highly integrated and configurable power and audio management circuits which enable portable devices to charge faster and support power-hungry multimedia applications and extend consumers' playtime between charging.

We continue to add new partners to our Processor Partner Program Initiative and perfect our fabless model while maintaining close contact with our manufacturing partners.

Dialog is successfully diversifying its product portfolio and customer base, focusing on key adjacencies. This includes:

  • PrimAccurate™ – the world's first digitally controlled AC/DC power converter, which enables faster smartphone/tablet charging and was developed by iWatt, which Dialog acquired in July 2013. The company also offers a range of innovative Solid State LED lighting ICs.
  • SmartPulse™ – which uses DECT ULE to provide interference-free connectivity for smart home appliances with ceiling to cellar reach and the option of voice control and is used by customers including Phillips, AVM, Everspring and Gigaset.
  • SmartBond™ – the world's smallest and most energy efficient Bluetooth Smart SoCs for app-enabled smartphone accessories, wireless mice/keyboards and Smart TV remote controls, which is also available from Murata as part of a wireless module to speed time-to-market for developers.
  • SmartWave™ – a Multi-touch IC (MITC™) that uses in-glass infrared technology to nearly halve the cost of touch for Ultrabook™, notebook, All-in-One PCs & monitors in comparison to capacitive-based solutions and is being used by the ODM Wistron.
